Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

A note before you read this: this policy was drafted to reflect how Copse's website currently works. It has not been reviewed by an attorney. Before relying on it, especially once the shop begins processing real orders and payments, we recommend having it reviewed by a licensed attorney familiar with privacy law in your state.

Copse LLC ("Copse," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through copse.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

When you fill out our contact form, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, and the message you send us. We use a third-party form processor, Formspree, to receive and deliver these messages to us. Formspree's own privacy practices govern how they handle data in transit; you can read their policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

Information collected automatically

At this time, Copse does not use analytics software, advertising pixels, or non-essential cookies on this Site. Our web hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) as a normal part of operating any website, primarily for security and performance purposes. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy to reflect that.

Information collected if you make a purchase

The Copse Shop is not yet active. Once it is, and depending on which platform we use to process orders, we will collect information necessary to fulfill purchases, such as your name, shipping address, email, and payment information. Payment details will be handled directly by our payment processor and will not be stored on our own servers. We will update this Privacy Policy with specifics before the shop goes live.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to messages sent through the contact form
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site
  • Process and fulfill orders, once the shop is active
  • Communicate with you about your order or inquiry
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing purposes without your consent.

How We Share Your Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

  • With service providers who help us operate the Site (such as our form processor, website host, and, in the future, payment or shipping providers), solely to perform services on our behalf
  • If required to by law, subpoena, or other legal process
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Copse, our users, or others

Cookies and Tracking

Copse's website does not currently use non-essential cookies or tracking technologies. Your browser may store minimal technical data needed for the Site to function correctly (for example, remembering that you've closed the mobile navigation menu). If we introduce analytics, marketing cookies, or similar tools in the future, we will update this section and, where required by law, seek your consent first.

Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we're required to keep it longer for legal reasons. Once the shop is active, order information will be retained as long as necessary for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.

Your Rights and Choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing copse.contact@gmail.com . Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws; we'll do our best to honor requests consistent with those laws.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

Our Site links to third-party platforms, including our social media accounts and, eventually, payment or shipping providers. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies separately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as the shop and other features of Copse develop. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
